Wonderful God!!!!!

Yes, that is right. We have the most amazing and wonderful God. He is working his miracles on daddy. Let me explain, yesterday I called momma as I was on my way home from work as I do everyday to check on my sweet dad. This time she tells me that daddy has a suprise for me when I get there. I quickly asked what it was and being the woman she is, she would not tell me. LOL
So, I hurried getting the boys fed and out the door I ran, so excited to see what daddy had for ME?? I pulled up to the parking lot, jumped out of my car and ran into the building. I could hardly wait to see. When I came around the corner, I could hear my uncle (dads brother) ask if I had seen yet, everyone said NO. So when I walked into the room, I seen daddy pick up his left leg and move it all over the place. This was the most amazing thing. Just the day before, he could only barely move his toes and now he can move his whole let. The expression "cry a river of tears" surely fit this situation. I was bawling like a little baby, then he started crying. It was wonderful to see him move again. Now, the next praying we need to do is to get that arm working again. I want him back to playing the guitar ASAP!!!! And that is not fast enough.

Always believe in GOD.
FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE

God Bless

Five years ago today I went in for my doctors appt. Not knowing it would be my last of OB appts with my very first baby. We were expecting a baby boy, our pride and joy. I went in for my appt and things were good, I had a bit of swelling and they took my blood pressure and it was high. They made me lay on my left side for about 30 minutes to see if it would go down and when they checked it again it was still pretty high. My lovely OB told me that she thought that it was time for us to meet our little one, so off to the hosptial I went. When I got there they hooked me up to the monitors and inserted cervadil. This medication was to ripen my cervix b/c I was not dialated much at all. I kept it in all night and then the next morning they would start the pitocin. I was a nervous wreck. We had been trying to have a baby for some time and it finally was happening. After a few hours of the pitocin I was in PAIN!! I didn't want the epidural at all. I am not a fan of needles, especially if they are getting close to my spine, so I opted for the shot of Stadol. OMG, that drug is evil. I go that in my IV and the next thing I knew I was totally passed out. I would only wake up for contractions and then I would go back to sleep. I finally got dilated to a 6 and then I stopped progressing. That is when my doctor told me that I was going in for a C-Section. At this point, I didn't care how this baby came out, I was so loopy from the drug. So, they came in and gave me an epidural, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but very welcomed after the monster contractions I was having. So, off to OR I went. They started the surgery and within minutes my beautiful little bundle of joy was born at 5:23pm at 7lbs 8oz and 20in long. He didn't have much hair but he had the most beautiful dimples EVER!!!! I was so happy, I finally had the baby that I had longed for for so long. Ryan was in the delivery room with me and got to hold him and he brought him over to me and I cried and cried. It was the most amazing day of my life. This little boy is the light that shines bright each and every day. His smiles still make my day.

Happy Birthday my love!!

And for those that are wondering about my dad, he is doing better. I finally got to see him last night after not seeing him for about 2 weeks. It was wonderful. I have missed him terribly. We had a great evening of chatting and lots of hugs and kisses. I can't wait for him to come home. He is eating regular soft foods now and can drink without the thickener added to his liquids now. And get this................ He is moving his left toes!!! Praise GOD. We still need him to be able to walk, so we have a way to go but he is definately improving.

I wanted to just say that for everyone reading this, PLEASE take advantage of the time that you have with your loved one. I know that I definately appreciate mine ALOT more. You never know when your time to leave this world may be. Just be thankful for everything that you have in your life and praise GOD for it all, b/c with him everything is possible.

Lots of Love and God Bless,
Jen

Movin' on UP!!

My dad got accepted to Bernsen Rehab, thank GOD!! He is going over there today and they will be working with him for 3 hrs a day, and every Tuesday we get a progress report. Please keep the prayers coming for him to have the strength to get thru this and can regain most of his motor skills back. He will have to stay there 4-6 weeks and b/c his stroke was so bad he may be there for 60 days. Just depends on how fast he recovers. They say that what stroke victims recover in a year is all they will get back, but I believe that the Lord is the one that makes that decision for people, not the doctors. Mom and I went on a hunt for some plain grey sweats suits last night and ended up going to 3 different Wal-Marts before we found them. Thank goodness for Sand Springs Wal-Mart, they almost always have everything you are looking for.

Peyton is doing much much better. He has a few more days on his antibiotic and then he will be done. We are not doing the breathing treatments anymore either. He doesn't really need them anymore. Hopefully this crap will go away and stay good and away for EVER!!!! I bought some Mucinex D last night at the store and it has helped tremendously. I can breathe finally and I am getting all the crap out of my chest. And you only have to take it every 12 hrs which is good for me, I hate taking medicine anyway!!

Riley is doing good in school. We have had a few incidents where he was getting in trouble for hitting and acting up, but hopefully that will calm down. He will have his Valentine's Party tomorrow. They are getting a pizza party. Oh to be in Pre K... I would love it.

Have a great and Blessed day.

Sick AGAIN!!!

Sorry it has been so long since I have updated my blog, but I have had some serious family emergencies. On January 27th 2009 my dad Bill had a massive stroke. It has left him completely paralized on the left side. They found around 3 blood clots in his body that were very life threatening. He is now on blood thinners everyday to keep the clots away. They have taken the feeding tube out and he is eating pureed foods now. I know it is gross, but he will be able to eat regular foods when he gets more therapy. They have him sitting up in chairs to try and get his back from being so sore and hurting. If you know my dad, he has had a bad back for some time now. The next step is for him to go to Bernsen Rehab. Hopefully they will be able to get him in soon. He has a long road ahead and I know that he can do it. God will give him the strength to get better. God is AMAZING!!! He works so many miracles. We just have to keep praying that he will guide and protect my dad as he goes thru this. My dad is a strong man and when he sets his mind on doing something he gets R DUN!!!! LOL

Then to top it all off, Peyton my poor little guy has RSV, Pneumonia and an ear infection. He has been sick for over a week now. He is on antibiotics now and is feeling much better, but now MOMMA has the crud. And it stinks b/c I can't go see dad in the hospital if I am sick. So, it has now been over a week since I got to see him. This too shall pass and good things are in store for our family. I just feel it.

Thanks for listening and may each one of you have a blessed day.
