How much longer can the crud stay around? I am into my 9th day and have about had it. And to top it all off I believe I have staff infection in my nose. I have a doctors appt today at 4:15 so we shall see. Ya know, I never even heard of staph infection until I had it the first time. I got it from the hospital when I delivered Riley. I was still on maternity leave when Ryan took me to the ER, but they told me it was spider bites. Well, many episodes later we finally found out that it was Staph. All of us in the household have had it to some degree. Just this summer we had to take Peyton in to get a spot on his leg lanced open and they tested it and it was MRSA. Luckily, he has not had any since then. They are quite painful.
In the "HOW TO RAISE A CHILD" book, ( yeah right, like there is such a thing) it doesn't tell you how hard it is to get an almost 5 year old up out of bed to go to daycare. I start out really quiet, turn the light on and whisper "Riley, time to get up". I give him a few more minutes, then I go back in and tell him again. This time I hear whining and feet kicking. I tell him I am sorry, but we have to get up and get around and yet again the whining and feet kicking and my ultimate favorite, throwing his body all of the room. This kid is going to be a great actor. I just wish one morning that I can get myself and the two boys ready without the fit throwing. One day it will come.!!
I picked the boys up yesterday and Debbie(NANA aka:babysitter) told me that Peyton was running 102.6 fever and that he threw up at lunch time. Oh great, is what I was thinking. I though the stomach bug has returned, but when we got home he ate dinner and played as normal. Kids are so weird, they can be really sick and then 30 minutes later nothing wrong with them at all. If I am sick, I am in bed moaning for days. I am such a big baby when it comes to stuff like that. Ryan on the other hand is NEVER sick. He has super immune system. What I would give for that!
Have a wonderful New Year and be safe!
God Bless,
Jen
Jen - I have the same problem with Sam. I start the wake-up routine 15 minutes early so he can whine and cover his head up with covers. Wow 102 fever! Was it gone by dinnertime. Have a wonderful New Year!
